hi there. i’m epically behind on blogging and sharing what’s new in general. so, this week, i’ll be catching up and sharing lots of newness from oh the last year or two :)
to kick it off, let’s start back at the beginning of the year….
i’ve been so excited to share a new custom design done in collaboration with my super-talented pal robyn at designs by robyn love calligraphy.
calligraphy by designs by robyn love.
the wedding took place in key west and the bride was looking for a super simple yet elegant sea-inspired design…and watercolor was a must. i’ve sooo been missing painting and drawing so i was super excited to take this on. especially since i was working on these in january and loved looking at pics of the sea for inspiration!
i created the design and robyn helped with watercolor calligraphy accents. LOVE! we went around a few times on the calligraphy font and getting the colors juuussst right and eventually landed on what you see here. i just LOVE the way it turned out.
there were tons of pieces for this event…we started with the invitation — a simple, typographical design that had an subtle ombre look, capturing shades of blue found within the sea.
the enclosure cards followed the same simple look and the envelopes were lined with watercolor striped liners, which i so loved hand-painting then editing to strategically give them refined, straight edges for a more modern look, while the inside of the stripes remained a fabulous watercolor texture.
the look carried through the day-of accessories which included table cards and signs, place cards, menus, thank you and welcome notes, all flat-printed on luxe cotton stock. we even doubled up the stock on some pieces to get an uber luxe double-thick feel. swoon.
we’d love to work together to create a custom couture design for you, too! drop us a line and let’s get started!
with a wedding in playa del carmen mexico, this couple opted for a neutral color scheme for their entire wedding to allow the gorgeous colors of the tropical landscape to add color at their wedding. they also wanted a vintage feel, so the more subdued palette worked perfectly.
an antique map of mexico was a must as were the custom passport stamps… i just love how printing on sand-colored metallic paper adds an aged, yet refined look. and to carry the look thru the inside of the passport, the interior pages have a subtle pattern as nod to vintage mexican tiles.

i am going to (attempt to) do a weekly post about what inspires me and my designs at that moment…it could be anything from paper, to printing, to clothes to home goods.
speaking of home goods, this inaugural “inspired by” items were captured while on a recent stop at…you guessed it, home goods! i just love that store and all of the random goodness that i find with each visit. this time, i was feeling quite beachy (as i usually am!) and had found so many cool things that totally inspired me and some designs i am working on, that i just had to capture them. i am LOVING the mixed texture of the rope and canvas with the smooth, shiny grommets… and the colors are fabulous! check ’em out and keep your eyes peeled for some fun beachy + nautical invitation designs to come!
oh! and all of these fun, summery items can be found at your local home goods store!
i just LOVE the way these passport invitations turned out! the beachy colors are just perfect for a simple chic destination wedding on grand cayman island. more to come including the aqua blue envelopes with natural custom wrap labels!
these are so fun! a boarding pass style save the date is the perfect way to let your guests know they need to pack their bags and are in for a fun seaside event! this couple took it a step further and incorporated a super fun picture of them right after they got engaged! they were finished with coordinating wrap labels with custom travel stamps. love these! stay tuned for their passport wedding invitations!
this coordinated with the beach elegance invite and served as both an announcemnt of their marriage and an invite to a local reception after the destination wedding. these are a great way to still let everyone know about your special day even if the actual wedding is a more intamite event!
i just love when my clients share pictures from their big day! these are some images of the table numbers and seating chart that coordinated with the beachy keen invitation. i just love seeing the end result and how it all ties together! the wedding was in riviera maya mexico and was just gorgeous. the photography is amazing and was done by Inspired Art. enjoy!
the ensemble is not quite done but i just had to post these super fun monogram seals made with real sand! a super unique way to bring the beach to your guests and set the tone for an amazing destination or beach inspired wedding! more to come!
